Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actor, dancer, and singer. Her career began with Broadway career in musicals such as Wicked Blonde and Hair. in You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has collaborated with numerous acclaimed actors and directors in theatre and in television. She continues this award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford's upcoming project is an exclusive Hulu series called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show premieres on November 22, and Ashford stars opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford's latest project involves Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford is scheduled to return in 2023 and will star alongside Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for an upcoming revival production of Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. The show will be directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that created Hamilton. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main role in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. It's based on an incident that took place in the United States, involving Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main characters. Ashford played for two seasons in the CBS show that was a huge success, B Positive. Also, she was a part of the successful series that was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, that starred legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Not a stranger to Broadway Ashford is the recipient of the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her role as Essie.
